The Hamilton County Justice Center was completed in 1985 and is the primary jail facility for Hamilton County in Cincinnati Ohio. The facility is located at 1000 Sycamore St. The jail has the capacity of 1,240 beds and an average daily inmate population of 1,424. Hamilton County Justice Center has been ranked 25th largest jail facility in the United States. The division includes the facility on Reading Rd. and Woodburn Ave. The jail contains a comprehensive treatment program for offenders that have been convicted of multiple DUI crimes. There is also additional security for juvenile inmates who are awaiting trial to be treated as adults.

Visitation at Hamilton County Justice Center

The Hamilton County Justice Center allows visitors to visit during visitation schedules except during meal times and court proceedings. You must have the name of the inmate, date of birth, and arrest number. The visitor must provide proper identification such as a driver’s license or federal registration card. There can be a maximum of four guests at a time. You can then visit the jail, and if the inmate is available for visitation, then it will be allowed. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.  Anyone that comes to visitation must adhere to the dress code. If there has been prior domestic violence or any previous altercations between the inmate and the visitor visitation will not be allowed.

Commissary at Hamilton County Justice Center

Each inmate at the Hamilton County Justice Center has their separate individual inmate account to keep commissary funds.
