The Victorville Jail serves as a short-term custody facility. Most adults in custody are awaiting trial. Visitation Rules and Regulations at Victorville Jail

There will be no more than four seats provided for visitors at the time of visit. A visitor is defined as any adult or child occupying one of four seats through the duration of the visit. Anyone occupying a seat is to be considered an adult visitor. The number of visitors may be exceeded by three in the even the children are ten or under and will not be occupying any seats. Children are to remain in the play area or may sit in the lap with another visitor but may not sit on the visiting room floor. No inmates are allowed in the children play area at any time during the visit. Each inmate is limited to 40 visiting points per month, and unused point will not carry over into the next month.

Max Number of Visitors:

The maximum number of visitors to be authorized on an inmate approved waiting list is 20. During Open House hours’ inmates, may submit an Inmate Request to Staff Members if a change is needed. During the event of overcrowding the Operations Lieutenant and/or Institution Duty officer reserve the right to deny and/or terminate visits, especially if interfering with normal day to day institution operation.

All visitors requesting entry must provide valid identification. Photo identification will be entered the Web-based Visiting program. Visitors who refuse to input their information will be denied entry into the jail. After identification and verification that the visitor is on the inmates’ visiting list, visitors can be processed for entry. All visitors must park in designated parking areas only.

Dress Code:

There is a dress code for visitors and will be strictly enforced. All tops are to cover the upper body including the stomach, chest/breast and back. Tank tops are not allowed. Any clothing made of see-through materials or dresses/skirts/tops that wrap around that body, with or without slit, are not permitted. Dresses/skirts cannot be shorter than two inches above the mid-knee for visitors over the age of 10. Knit and spandex dresser or tops that are tight fitting will not be permitted. Clothing must be free from any suggestive/offensive words or pictures. Backless style shoes/flip flops are also not permitted. Clothing accessible to inmates via commissary are not permitted. Khaki, tan colored pants/shirts, jackets/coats are also not permitted. Hats, visors, head wraps or headbands (not related to religious wear) are not permitted as well as sun glasses, hooded jackets/shirts. Visitors who do not follow the dress code will be authorized to visit.
