Kern County Juvenile Crossroads Facility is located at 17824 Quality Road, Bakersfield, California and is dedicated to redirecting the delinquent youth in the County. Before, many of the minors that required being committed to the Kern Crossroads Facility would have been sent to the Division of Juvenile Justice. The facility has three split level housing units that are capable of holding 40 juveniles each, with a maximum population of 120 youth wards. The youth length of stay is determined by the courts decision based on their current behavior, prior history of criminal activity, drug/gang history, committed offenses and academic background. Treatment at this facility is an all-male program. In this facility’s treatment programs, aftercare services are provided for those released before the incarceration is completed.
