General Information for the North Central Regional Jail
The North Central Regional Jail is located at 1 Lois Lane in Greenwood, West Virginia. This facility serves the following counties: DODDRIDGE, Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Pleasants, Ritchie, Tyler, Wirt, and Wood. This facility hosts both pre-trial defendants and convicted defendants who have been sentenced to incarceration for one year or less. Additionally, this facility may hold inmates awaiting their transfer to the state correctional facility. The North Central Regional Jail houses both male and female inmates at any given time. Lastly, This facility supports and has actively joined in the efforts of the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), which assists in eliminating sexual assault and rape within prisons, jails, and detention centers. This facility has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual abuse and asks that any reports of sexual abuse be directed to the Administrator of the West Virginia Regional Jail Authority’s Internal Affairs Unit at 304 – 558 – 2110.
