Parents and/or guardians are the only ones allowed to visit and permission must be granted by the Deputy Directors-Detention or Detention Superintendent for someone other than parents or guardians who wish to visit. Divorced parents must provide legal custody documents to obtain visitation. Parents with legal custody are provided with the first visit. It is upon the discretion of the Intake Officer on duty to allow the second parent to visit if he or she appears later. Mostly this depends on time available during visitation times. It is best and advisable if both parents agree to see the child together or split the visitation time equally between them.
