The Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center is a facility with twenty-nine beds. It hosts individuals before and after the adjudication process that are a risk to public safety, risk to fail to appear in court, and those that were ordered to be detained by the court.

 

Caddo Juvenile Detention Home – Facility Information

The facility detains both male and female juveniles that are between the ages of ten and seventeen that have been adjudicated of committing or allegedly committed of a crime. These range from felonies that are serious to basic misdemeanors.

Certified teaching aids and teachers provide educational instruction for the residents. For residents that remain over 72 hours, there is a screening process for depression or suicidal tendencies by a professional in the mental health field. The residents will continue to take their medication while they are being detained.
