General Information for the Marion County Detention Center

The Marion County Detention Center is located at 201 Warehouse Road in Lebanon, Kentucky. The current jailer is Barry Brady. Requests for tours of the jail must be submitted to the Jailer and electronic recording devices are not allowed. Inmate programs include: Anger Management, Parenting, AA, One-On-One Counseling, GED, ALPHA, Treatment, and Work (Court Ordered Work Release, Community Service Work Program, Trustee/Dorm Janitor Work Programs). Inmate services include: Library, Legal Library, Legal Materials, Commissary, Phone Services, Visitation, Grievances, Action Requests, Mail/Legal Mail, Access to Courts/Legal Materials, and Foreign Nationals. Additionally, Medical and Food Services, Hygiene Services, Religious Services, Recreation, and Leisure Time Activities are available to inmates.

Visitation Guidelines for the Marion County Detention Center

In order to schedule a visit at the Marion County Detention Center, you must call 1-877-467-1794 at least 24 hours prior to your visit. Visitors are required to wear appropriate clothing that isn’t offensive or revealing in any manner. All minors must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. Inmates are categorized into five categories that dictates the time and days their visits are allowed. The categories are as follows: County and State Inmates (housed in secure section), State Inmates (housed in restricted section), Federal Inmates, Alpha Inmates (Female/Male), and Female Inmates (housed in secure section).

 

County and State Inmates (housed in secure section) are permitted to have two 30-minute visits or one 1-hour visit per week. Additionally, these inmates are permitted to have up to 4 visitors at any visit. Visiting hours include:

Tuesday: 8:00am-9:00am, 10:00am-11:00am, 12:30pm-2:00pm, and 2:30pm-4:00pm

Thursday: 8:00am-9:00am, 10:00am-11:00am, 12:30pm-2:00pm, 2:30pm-4:00pm

Saturday: 9:00am-11:00am

 

State Inmates (housed in restricted section) are permitted to have 2 hours of visits per week. Moreover, these inmates are permitted to have up to 4 visitors at any visit. Visiting hours include:

Saturday: 8:00am-11:00am and 1:00-4:00pm

Sunday: 8:00am-11:00am and 1:00pm-4:00pm

 

Federal Inmates are permitted to have two 1 hour visits each week. Furthermore, these inmates are permitted to have up to 4 visitors at any visit. Visiting hours include:

Sunday: 12:00pm-4:00pm

Wednesday: 8:00am-11:00am and 12:00pm-4:00pm

Thursday: 5:30pm-8:30pm
