The Kern County Juvenile Pathways Academy is located at the Juvenile Treatment Center, 1831 Ridge Road, in Bakersfield, California.

The Kern County Juvenile Pathways Academy serves as a center for only female offenders that have been claimed as Wards of the Juvenile Court. This facility requires an 8 month commitment in order to assist females in developing an understanding about appropriate versus inappropriate behaviors, therapeutic intervention, education, life skills training, and family interaction and involvement.

The in-custody phase is the first step in the program and is determined to be either 12 or 18 weeks. This determination is made by the Program Supervisor, Aftercare Probation officer, a Mental Health Representative, and a Pathways Academy Staff Member.
